MassHealth Issues ACO Request for Responses (RFR)

MassHealth has released the Request for Responses (RFR) for its Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Program - the RFR has now been posted on COMMBUYS.  Beginning in 2018, MassHealth began a substantial shift towards accountable and integrated models of care. These delivery system reforms have been supported through a set of investments under a restructured federal 1115 demonstration.

MassHealth anticipates an extension of its 1115 waiver which will continue the focus on accountable care delivery systems. To advance the goals of MassHealth's 1115 waiver, the new ACO contracts will enhance expectations for primary care and behavioral health delivery, increase focus on children, youth, and families, and create incentives to improve health equity. Further information is available in the RFR and associated documents on COMMBUYS, including a list of key dates and upcoming Bidders Conferences to learn more about this opportunity. Questions about the procurement should be submitted in accordance with instructions included in the RFR.
