  • Upcoming Virtual Summit Minimizing Risk and Maximizing Autonomy: Supporting Residents in Their Recovery Journey
March 21, 2024

The DPH is sponsoring a virtual summit discussing Minimizing Risk and Maximizing Autonomy: Supporting Residents in Their Recovery Journey, hosted by Abt Global and their partner, Healthcentric Advisors. At this webinar, attendees will learn about the Stages of Change Model, how it applies to substance use disorders (SUD) and approaches to caring for residents with SUD wherever they are in the recovery process. Case studies from two long-term care facility staff members will be presented and include how they have supported residents with SUD at different places in their recovery journey. DPH will allow time for a Q&A at the end of the session. The summit will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST.

Staff from Massachusetts long-term care facilities who attend the entire presentation will be eligible to receive a $25 gift card for their participation.

To register for the summit, follow this link: Meeting Registration—Zoom. Complete the registration form by March 22, 2024, to secure your spot.

If you have any questions about the summit, please do not hesitate to contact the program team at SUDinLTC@abtassoc.com.
