Steward Health Care is abandoning the under construction Norwood Hospital and closing four affiliated clinics in November, according to a notice filed in bankruptcy court Monday. Norwood Hospital has been closed since June 2020 when a flood caused catastrophic damage. Since that time, four outpatient satellite clinics in Norwood and Foxborough have continued to operate under the Norwood Hospital license. These clinics will close at the beginning of next month when the state license for Norwood Hospital expires.
