  • SPOT Initiative Stakeholder Meetings
December 22, 2017

The Bureau of Health Care Safety and Quality (BHCSQ) of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health invites you to attend a stakeholder presentation on the Supportive Planning and Operations Team (SPOT) Initiative.  The same presentation will be conducted at each session so you only need to attend one of the events.

Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Department of Public Health

Henry I. Bowditch Public Health Council Room - 2nd Floor

250 Washington Street, Boston, MA

Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Hilton Garden Inn Springfield

800 Hall Of Fame Avenue

Springfield, MA 01105

All interested stakeholders are encouraged to attend the presentation most convenient for them. The SPOT Initiative is a collaborative effort to support nursing home teams to develop effective quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) programs. Effective QAPI programs can prevent adverse events, promote safety and quality, and reduce risks to residents and caregivers. With funding from Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services, BHCSQ launched the Initiative in 2016.  During the stakeholder presentations, BHCSQ representatives and members of the Abt Team will share information regarding the Initiative and the year’s activities. Following the presentation, there will be ample time for questions and networking with BHCSQ staff, members of the Abt Team, and other stakeholders.

Please RSVP to Leah Sekundayo, by Friday, January 5, 2018. It is highly recommended that you RSVP, however, you may attend the event without providing advance notice.
