  • Registry of Vital Records and Statistics MAVRIC Launch Update
March 21, 2024

While RVRS continues to prepare for the new MAVRIC death registration system, the go-live timeframe will be pushed out from April. As a Massachusetts state agency, RVSR is committed to web accessibility, ensuring that this new all-electronic system will work properly for various users, including individuals with visual, cognitive, physical, and auditory disabilities. Consequently, the MAVRIC software is undergoing a new round of comprehensive ADA accessibility testing and improvements that will delay the system production. Preparations and training are continuing, and we will update everyone on the new launch date.

PLEASE NOTE: You must enroll in TRAIN to access MAVRIC training. If you have not already enrolled, it is fast and efficient to create your own account by going to the TRAIN website (https://www.train.org/ma/welcome) and;

  • Clicking “Create an Account.” Follow the prompts to set up your account.
  • For Division/Business Unit, select External DPH Partner.
  • For Office, select the Registry of Vital Records and Statistics.
  • Then pick your role.

Once enrolled, partners can take full advantage of the additional videos, quick start guides and instructional guides available. Our dedicated TRAIN help desk at DPH-TrainHelp@mass.gov. can assist. Each clinician needs to register online.

For regular updates and a MAVRIC FAQ, please monitor MAVRIC: Massachusetts Vital Records Information Collaborative | Mass.gov

Also, if your staff is not already signed up to receive RVRS's monthly eBulletin, please email to RVRScommunications@mass.gov to be added to the mailing list. There, they will receive up-to-date information about all the exciting changes at the Registry.
