  • Mass Senior Care Members Meet with Congressional Delegation
June 9, 2023
congressional meeting 2023

This week, Mass Senior Care members and staff took part in the AHCA/NCAL Congressional Briefing in Washington D.C., to advocate for nursing facility care and bring the profession’s legislative priorities to Capitol Hill. Mass Senior Care met with Congressman Richard Neal, Congressman William Keating, and legislative aides from the offices of U.S. Senator Ed Markey, Congressmen Jake Auchincloss, Seth Moulton, Stephen Lynch, Jim McGovern and Congresswomen Katherine Clark, Ayanna Pressley. In these meetings, members focused exclusively on staffing challenges and the detrimental effect a CMS 4.1 staffing mandate would have on access to nursing facility care.

Mass Senior Care recognizes and expresses our strong gratitude to our dedicated leaders who participated in Congressional Briefing:

  • Kevin Battistelli, Genesis HealthCare
  • Bill Bogdanovich, Broad Reach Health
  • Sharon Donaghue, Marquis Health Services
  • Cailin Gallego, Alliance Health at Marina Bay
  • Frank Grady, Alliance Health Management
  • Ryan Hedges, Medline
  • Tom Lavallee, Chair of Mass Senior Care Association, Alliance Health Management
  • Nathan Norton, Marquis Health Services
