  • Mass Senior Care Members Continue to Answer the Call To Care
April 25, 2019

Legislators from across the state visited Mass Senior Care facility members on the need to invest in quality resident care and staff for the FY 2020 budget. Mass Senior Care continues to encourage members to host legislative events which will allow elected officials to see firsthand the valuable services your facility provides. The Answering The Call To Care Campaign Toolkit provides a step-by-step guide on how your facility can host a successful event.

State Senator Michael Barrett (D-Lexington) visits Palm Center in Chelmsford

State Senator Adam Hinds (D-Pittsfield) visits Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield

State Senator Edward Kennedy (D-Lowell) visits Northwood Rehabilitation & HealthCare Center in Lowell

In addition, an op-ed column "Beulah Clayton, Whitman: State needs to do more for nursing home workers" by Beulah Clayton, a 30-year Certified Nursing Assistant at Elizabeth Seton Residence in Wellesley was published in The Patriot Ledger, The Enterprise and Wicked Local Wellesley today. Clayton recently testified before The Joint Committee on Elder Affairs to urge lawmakers to pass the Nursing Home Stabilization Bill.
