Giving Tuesday

Please join us on Tuesday, December 3rd, in supporting the Mass Senior Care Foundation’s mission to promote workforce quality and to provide our compassionate caregivers with scholarships as they pursue advanced training and higher education.

We believe that a well-supported and educated workforce is critical to enhancing quality resident care and experiences.

Your donation on #GivingTuesday, will help to:

  • Attract new dynamic talent into the profession
  • Improve recruitment and retention strategies and expand career ladder opportunities
  • Provide much needed financial assistance to long term care staff who are pursuing higher education
2024 scholars at annual meeting

Meet Misty Gassman (center), a 2024 Foundation Scholar, and an Infection Control Preventionist/ Licensed Practical Nurse at Bourne Manor Extended Care Facility in Bourne.

For 18 years, Misty has provided compassionate care to her residents and is passionate about her career. “I always feel the need to ensure safety, happiness, comfort, and good health for others. “The financial burden of educational tuition remains a significant obstacle. Achieving my goal of becoming an RN through Cape Cod Community College will make me feel more fulfilled and eager to take on more experiences that I otherwise would have been limited to do.”

Since 1985, the Mass Senior Care Foundation has raised over three million dollars to support over 1,600 Long Term Care employees in reaching their educational and personal goals. Thank you for considering a donation to the Mass Senior Care Foundation.
