  • Filing Deadline Reminder: Department of Unemployment Assistance EMAC Supplement Hardship Waiver
October 11, 2018

Applications for the EMAC Supplement Hardship Waiver must be submitted to the Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) by 5:00 p.m. on October 12th.  Signed applications should be emailed to EMAChardshipwaiver@mass.gov.  DUA's determination will be issued via email by the date in which quarterly payments are due (for Q3, by October 31).  Please click here to access DUA's EMAC Supplement Hardship Waiver webpage which contains additional information and a link to the application.  Members are encouraged to review the website prior to submitting the application.

Mass Senior Care continues to advocate for a repeal of the EMAC assessment for employers that serve the public interest by providing long-term care services and that receive a significant share of revenues from governmental programs.

Please contact Gary Abrahams with any questions or comments.
