  • AHCA/NCAL Launches National Campaign to Attract More Caregivers
January 13, 2023

The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) recently announced the launch of “Careers in Caring”, a national campaign to educate job seekers about the career opportunities in long term care and equip nursing facilities and assisted living communities with the resources they need to successfully recruit new caregivers to the field.

“The long term care industry has been facing workforce shortages for decades– a challenge that has only magnified since the pandemic,” said Mark Parkinson, president and CEO of AHCA/NCAL. “We are launching Careers in Caring to show people why long term care is a rewarding and fulfilling career, and assist long term care providers in recruiting a more robust workforce.”

Careers in Caring has a dedicated website, CareersInCare.org, where long term care providers and professionals can find a one-stop-shop of resources and tools to support their hiring efforts. The campaign is research-tested, with proven practices to reach potential candidates. The website also houses informational videos, messaging materials, social media tools, graphics and much more, to help the long term care profession build a pipeline of dedicated caregivers.
