MassHealth Bulletin 154: Updated Room Density Reporting and Planning for Nursing Facilities clarified the process that facilities should follow when they are attesting to ‘exceptional circumstances’ when they file the CHIA online reporting form and attestation. The updated Bulletin includes a new Appendix B Attestation Form for facilities filing for ‘exceptional circumstances’ in regard to de-densification. The filing deadline for facilities to file the initial report and attestation, via the CHIA online survey, is 11:59 p.m. on October 30, 2020.
